This episode was released on video many years ago, on Rhino's "Tee Vee Treasures" Volume 3.

The commercials featured with this episode are the same as in the Rhino release - I doubt they were part of the original screening; they were more than likely inserted for the video release, to give a period "feel"...

This painfully low budget production (did they only ever use the one music cue?) wants so much to be Dragnet at the very time when Dragnet itself had run out of steam. While the acting and dialog is a bit more lifelike than Dragnet (the two uncredited "juveniles" are both actually pretty good in their roles) the plots and their resolutions are terribly simplistic--kind of like the title. There's even a Dragnet-style wrap-up at the end.

Police Station is a cookie-cutter type of production. Not really bad, but neither is there anything to distinguish it from a dozen other crime shows except perhaps as the blandest of all.

This is one of the best crime shows made. The acting was good, an it had great timing. But it might have got lost because there were so many crime dramas on TV at the time. There are 39eps out there. Also it is the year I was born, lol.

Thanks to whoever uploaded this, i found it enjoyable to watch, very much like Dragnet and M Squad, if you liked those shows, you'll be sure to like Police Station!
